Nearly 1 in 3 people globally cook over open fires — causing 3.4 million deaths annually from indoor air pollution. In Guatemala, 53% of households still cook with firewood despite 98% having electricity access.
SolStove closes that gap with clean, affordable cooking technology built for families who have electricity but no viable alternative.
SolStove combines efficient electric cooking devices with our proprietary E-Module — enabling pay-as-you-go installments, usage tracking, and verified impact data — and a companion app for savings, stove health, and education.
Installments are priced at or below what families already spend on fuel. That same usage data generates IoT-verified carbon credits and energy insights, creating revenue that sustains our growth and impact.
Clean cooking has always faced four barriers: high upfront costs, limited awareness, cultural fit, and weak distribution. SolStove is built around all four — through modular design, community-rooted NGO partnerships, and a data infrastructure that gives funders and partners verified evidence of real-world adoption.
We're starting in Guatemala, with 460 million households in view globally.
